Groundwater sampling guidelines

In order to protect the beneficial uses of groundwater from pollution, it is important to accurately determine and report its composition. The collection of groundwater samples can be a significant source of error in groundwater quality data. This guideline has been developed to assist those involved in groundwater sampling reduce this potential for error, allowing subsequent groundwater management decisions to be based on ‘representative’ groundwater quality data.
